There are lines up there in the high country that demand major commitment and some pretty heavy equipment to make it down in one piece. Sketchy steeps, big drops, consequences. The kind of place where 215mm of active and plush rear travel, a wag-free, 150mm spaced, bolted-in rear wheel, and a generally overbuilt chassis could really come in handy. That's where the VP-Free comes in.
Built with that terrain in mind, it is a monstrously stable bike that can take huge abuse, yet deliver a Cadillac smooth, confidence-inspiring ride in the gnarliest of conditions. And, thanks to triple chainring compatibility, VPP suspension, and platform-valved suspension, it can be pedaled smoothly up to those high places where the chairlifts don't run
