Jackal

Freshly redesigned after two seasons of input by Syndicate riders Jamie Goldman and Kirt Voreis, the all-new Jackal is built to do one thing - Jump.

There aren't any fancy suspension links to talk about, notions like ride comfort and bump compliance don't apply. It's all about short, stiff chain and seat stays, the right feel when transitioning from ground to air and back, a top tube that stays out of the way when throwing legs over it, and a frame that's strong enough to stick every landing and handle every time the landing goes wrong.

Tech Tips

Custom Builds

Can I run my Jackal as a single speed?

Absolutely. Our new sliding dropout system works easily to tension a single speed drivetrain. A single speed specific driveside dropout can be ordered with your frame (or seperately) so you can have that clean single speed look.

What is the largest tire that will fit in the new Jackal?

We don't like to make blanket statements here, as tire sizes vary widely, but any 2.3" tire will fit, and most 2.5" tires.

What cranks/bb should I use for my Jackal?

The Jackal accepts most standard cranks- it doesn't require anything unusual. Make sure you buy for a 73mm bb shell and standard 50mm chainline, and you should be good.

Can I use a chainguide on the Jackal?

Sure, a guide is recommended for multispeed drivetrains (rear derailleur equipped) if you are riding the bike hard. A guide is not needed if you use a singlespeed drivetrain. ISCG05 mounts are included on the frame, and most ISCG05-compatible guides should work. Our favorites are the E-thirteen STS and Gamut guides.

What size headset does the Jackal use?

1 1/8"

What fork should I use on my Jackal?

The Jackal was designed primarily for a 100mm fork, but is strong enough for 160mm

What is the biggest chainring I can use on the Jackal?

The Jackal is designed for a maximum chainring of 38t. Anything bigger will interfere with the chainstay yoke.

Can I use 24" wheels on the Jackal?

The Jackal was designed specifically for 26" wheels, and the geometry is ideal with that size. However, 24" wheels will fit if you want.

Can I use a front derailleur on the Jackal?

No, the Jackal is strictly for single chainrings.

What size seatpost does the Jackal use?

The Jackal uses a 30.9mm seatpost, and a 34.9mm seatcollar. The post must always be inserted a minimum of 4".
